I started work for a company in March of this year. At my interview i explained that the wage being offered was less than i expected and less than my previous job. The boss said okay what we'll do is enhance your pay at christmas to make up to what i wanted. I agreed to take the position as it was closer to home and meant less travelling. Now it's christmas and no bonus has been paid. I tried to speak to him about this but he put the phone down on me (i was nice and amicable about the matter not wanting to spoil the working relationship for the future). This year i have had to make many changes and re-organise (it is a small company that had no structure within the office. In august the accounts girl left leaving me the only person in the office for two months while they found a replacement. This meant that i had to undertake many other tasks that were not part of my job. I did it to keep the company running.

Lately everything for me has either been up or down to the extremes with no real middle-ground.I take care of myself am physically fit and generally live a good healthy lifestyle, but i have so many things that haven;t been sorted out in my life and don't know if they ever will.It seems like time is catching up with me(i'm in my late 20's)and i'm still not where i want to be,and how to go about getting there. I rarely smile or laugh anymore, and it seems like living here(i live in california)is becoming more of a drag.I'm a certified personal trainer, but i came out here to be a musician(i want to get into whatever avenue i can make a living at,and still haven't got to where i wanna be because i've always been sidetracked and confused on which path i want to take.It seems like its almost impossible to find a job out here and i am losing hope. Please help with some input if you could.

This will kill the US economy. Talk to their manager and have them fired. It is an insult to those who showed up to do their jobs.

I need to reach a famous chef. I don't want to be involved with stalking, people finder, or anything of that sort. I just need to ask a professional and successful chef about a few questions that I have about opening my own restarunt. So... How do I reach famous/successful/professional chefs about my questions?

And if you have a low credit score or judgements on your credit report, why would that exclude you from a potenial job? I dont understand it, I was disqualified for a job because of my credit, yes its bad,but thats why I'm looking for a better job to fix it. Is it a catch 22, damed if you do and damed if you dont, whats the deal?

For example, if the employee went to work for the old employers agency or a competitor... Is there an obligation to disclose so that the old company can make a reasonable judgment on continued access to confidential information?

I hate my current job. I make $8.00 an hour as third-key in a retail store which isn't too bad, but the tons of responsibilities I have don't really suit the pay. I was thinking of waitressing. I heard that you could make more money.

Hey~
Quick question- I had an interview the other day and at the end of it the interviewers point blank asked me, "If we were to offer you this position, would you take it?"

I was taken back by the question at first and am still curious as to the meaning behind it.

Would you think they were genuinely interested in me and that is why they asked? Do you think it was a "sign" that my interview went well?

Where they just trying to weed out the serious from nonserious candidates (however wouldn't you be seriously thinking about the position if you were there to interview)?

All you interviewers out there-- let me know what you think!
Thanks in advance for your time~
Jenn

Hello All & Thanks (Upfront). I just went 2 court today & got results of a paternity test (father denied child as his own) & then I was awarded child support -once proven he was the father. I live in N.J. & am currently unemployed after being put on bed rest & then "let go" from my position- once I was not able 2 return back 2 work (due 2 the baby & complications). The place of employment only hires in the spring, so I'm patiently waiting for positions 2 open up (Because I'm trained in my field of work). My question 2 you is, will I get awarded more in child support once I start work in the spring? A friend of mine said yes, but I'm not 2 sure as 2 why?
Example. He now makes $1100. *before taxes a week & I make 0.00
When I start working I'll make about $800. - $1100. a week before taxes & he will be making the same $1100. a week.
I dont understand & honestly not even sure if it's the case, but if so - why by me working will I get more in support? Due 2 daycare expenses or what??

Two of my employees just can't get along. Both are headstrong. They have had yet another disagreement. One wants me to fire to other. And this time it was a big misunderstanding. However, the one employees tone was terrible, then the other stormed out. I am tired of plalying referee for these both valuable but childish employees. WHAT DO I DO?
