Or, you could approach software companies with a similar proposition.
Most companies would prefer you to work in their area however, for copyright reasons among others. However, it doesn't hurt to try.

Software testing cannot be done at someones personal premises, the companies involved in software development as aware of the legal consequences, that is why despite severe shortage of skilled persons, software testing is still an home based job.
