I am 7 months pregnant and my husband hurt his back recently and cannot work. We have two other children and ourselves to support, and with him not working anymore, and I can't very well get a job at the moment, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or knew how to earn money online while staying home. Thanks for the help.

She will ask "did you do this?" "Did you get this done." In reference to my daily activities. And then after about a week of this we have a "meeting" where she tells me everything I have done wrong in the last month and it's all stuff like "your desk is messy when you're working" and "you forgot checks in the printer at 2:15 on the 16th." And then the next day everything's cool and she's cracking jokes and telling me how great I am. I don't get it. Is it me or is she just moody? How can I approach it? Do I just ignore it?

I am not yet qualified for the good paying career I am training for. much less having the "two years" experience to get the interviews for it. But if I take a lesser position or one in a different industry, I may be trapped for the rest of my life in a lower paying situation. Still, I need income for the next 6 months of training, food, rent, etc. What is fair to my goals and won't require me to tell big lies to get a job.

back in October 2004, I got arrested on campus and charged with public lewdness (I was making out with someone in a bathroom stall on campus) Campus police came and arrested us, the charge was public lewdness, a class A misdemeanor. I spent 10 days in jail, but was given deferred adjudication. So, I have an arrest, but not a conviction on the charge. It falls under the same sex crimes as public indecency though.
Will this arrest prevent me from getting a job in healthcare? It keeps coming up because now on job applications, apartment rental applications, ect..it asks if you've ever been convicted, served probation, or received deferred adjudication for any sex crime against another person or drug charges. So, am I just pretty much screwed and wasting my time with school?

I’m 25; it was very hard for me at 21 when I graduated from college not getting job offers like other people specially people with bad grades. I wasn’t making as much money, and I felt bad, so I worked a lot, for 3 years I had an average of 3 jobs, usually one full time job, and 2 part-time jobs, I worked an average of 70 weekly hours. I finally got a job where I make what I always thought I deserved, but I think I have a scar from my previous jobs. EVERYDAY people will come to me, at least 3 or 5 people will ask if I slept right or if I’m tired. I have huge eye bags, I mean, not like purple, I mean, bags as in you can see there’s liquid inside and that make a sound if you touch them.
I feel this makes me look lazy, or as not be reliable. I went to the plastic surgeon, and he told me could get rid of those, and make me not to look tired all the time with some restylane injections.
Does it affect my career to be 25, and look tired all the time? Should I get the injections?

I am in love with a college professor from my University. He is 54 years old and married for 30 years. He is white and I am black. It started one day when we had to choose someone to speak to our class for career day and I got him to come in because he is a college professor, an attorney, and a judge. Upon interviewing him in his office things got kind of intimate between us. Not kissing just a profound emotional attachment. Each time I went to his office afterward he would stop who he was talking to just to talk to me. He would even peak through my classroom door at me and stare. On the day for him to come to speak to my class he stared at me most of the class while giving his lecture. The class professor noticed and mentioned to him that she teaches a class at night with his wife. His expression changed to sadness. Shortly after I placed a letter under his office door & told him I am in love with him but because of his marriage and career obligation that I would love him from afar.

I've decided that I need to quit my current job TODAY. It's just making me a physical and emotional wreck and I need a fresh start. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on how to actually quit.

I am able to give two weeks notice, so that's not an issue. Also, my boss works in another state and we just communicate through the phone - so any advice on how to quit over the phone would be great too.

Thanks everyone!

He said he was trying to get me on this creative team before the end of the year. Well it's Dec 29th today and I've heard nothing. WTF?

Should I ask him WTF? or would that look too desperate?

I'm a temp and they are basically supposed to be hiring me temp to perm and I've already been interviewed and filled out a bunch of paperwork and it seems likely I will get the position but it's making me crazy that my boss said more than 2 weeks ago that he was trying to get the position filled before new year. I am one of TWO people interviewed for the job and that was 2 weeks ago.

How f*cking long does it take to make a decision like this? What should I do?

I am 21 and about to graduate in May 2007 with a degree in Finance. I want to pursue a law degree part time after I graduate while also working full time. I have one semester of university left, from February to May. My problem is that it is hard to find jobs that offer 9-5 hours that will give me enough time to complete law school well. So far, I have interviewed for some management positions at financial institutions and an industrial firm, but so far no takers. I have pretty decent grades, but I have no extracurriculars other than working many hours in retail each week for three years. I have not been able to find any government positions. I can't go to law school full-time for financial reasons. What can I do, besides getting a Notary Public, to boost up my resume and credentials? What positions fit my needs and how can I find them? I sincerely thank you for helping me on this important matter.

After months of unemployment I had found a seasonal job as a hotel receptionist until March.Well, the job was simply impossible to deal with.I have been asked to work from 8 AM to 10 PM,to do the porter and maintenance duties too.I'm speechless.I left the job after 10 days because I was already exhausted.Do you think that's fair?I just find it insulting and really upsetting.
