Looks like we are sailing pretty much in the same boat, eh buddy?

Well, starting out with the truth is indeed the first step. You need to let your interviewer know things as they are. Let's admit it, if academics is not our strengths, portraying them so isn't such a wise decision.

However, if there is another reason that prevented you from scoring better than you actually did and such a reason is plausible, by all means let it be known.

Remember, though, a cover-up story isn't such a good idea because they could always judge a candidate with a variety of tests on different parameters.

I'll repeat, stick with what happened and if you aren't the strongest with studies, admit it. We are all tuned differently. Perhaps you are vocationally proficient as far as imbibing things are concerned and if that is the case, say so.

I hope it works for you. Let me know if you come across a better idea, would certainly like to know one. :)

Don't go for false excuses. Tell them the truth. Remember, the interviewers are hard nuts and experienced. They will find your false excuses in seconds. And you will be more in trouble. The same rule applies if you do not know an anser. Tell them straight that the answer is not known to you. Your honesty would be counted. Not knowing a certain answer is not sin, but it IS if you try to play a cheap game by hovering around a number of guesses during an interview.

Hello

Honesty is the best policy and be truthful. It is not a good idea to build stories around the same as there is every chance that it will not stick. Interviewers like candidates who are frank rather than lying.

Thanks

Be very honest, but also state that you are taking tuition in your spare time to improve the situation because at the time of your exams you were far from mature and failed to realise what an impact good results can have on your future prospects.

Just tell the truth. Truthfulness can earn you more points than "good scores". Or pretended ones. http://fn.goa-india.org

In a job interview try "I had my head up my butt, however I am now ready to pick the sh** out of my ears and tackle life". That ought to sum it up.

Don't give any reason and just tell the truth and show them your other qualities which you have. Dont hide what you dont have and show what you have.
