I dont think there really is an average. It all depends on the minimum wage, then how many hours worked. Most peeps dont get that 40.
Whatever answers you get, for ex., min wage at 40 hrs a week, dont forget taxes. So I would take whatever total, then take off about a 1/3 for the tax man.

$6.50 X 40 hours a week = $260
Depends on what the minimum wage is. They usually start you out at minimum and after 30-90 days give you a pay increase. Of course this amount does not reflect any taxes that may be taken out, and assumes you are available and will work 8 hours per day/ 5 days a week.

Depends on the city you refer to. The minimum wage in each stare/province varies. Effective this February, the min. wage here in Ontario is $8.00/hr. Therefore, based on a 40 hr work week, the gross weekly salary would be $320.00/wk. Some employees, like the ones I hire for our business, start anywhere from $9.00-$10.50 an hour. The labour market is very competitve, so employers are offering more.

depends on what they make an hour and how many hours they work so take for instance you make 7.50 an hour and you work 20 hours 7.50 x 20 hours is 150 bucks a week before takes are taken out so in the end you might end up with 140 dollars but it all depends on how much you make an hour and how many hous you work

Depends where you are living. Normally around the minimum wage plut 1-2 dollars.

a week depends on the hours. Here its like $220 a week, but thats at 5.50 an hour for 40 hours

probably minimum wage...but its different from state to state...here in california its $6.75....so working 40 hours a week...thats like $270...i think it would also depend on the type of position cause obviously managers would make more than most other employees
