I want to go to law school but need to work less hours (40-50max) and was wondering what others thought of JD's being paralegals. Or, do lawyers really work more than 50 hrs a week on average? I really like contracts, IP, and natural law. I am a single parent and really need to be home at a decent hour.

I am a realestate agent. Real estate agents are generally considered contract employees, paid by commission, and issued 1099's instead of w-2's. The person I work with is always slow to pay me, as they are always waiting for a check to come in.

I am owed some additional money for this month and have not received it. I probably will not receive it until late next week (into 2007).

Has anyone else had an experience like this? I'm fed up with never knowing when I will get paid and am considering packing up and leaving without notice if I don't get paid by Tuesday of next week.

Any opinions?

I have made my free e-mail where a lot of people write and I was able to help them with advice over there. It's a good practice for me as well as I would like to do this one day more professionally. But what's the next step? Do I approach the magazines or who exactly?

I have been training as a hotel desk clerk now for about 2 months. I am finally working by myself. I feel like I can handle it, but an older lady, who has been here for a while (who has nothing to do with my department) keeps trying to call in people on their days off to come in and help me. It is kinda embarrassing and offensive in a way, but i do not want to be disrespectful to a lady who has been here over 30 years. But I feel like I can handle the shifts by myself and the other co workers know it. Is this kind of offensive?

I'm new to a job (4 months) and it seems my boss hates my guts. Her tone is rude and short with me. I can't figure out why me?? She is very nice to other people.

She is in her fourties. I am in my twenties. I am in a graduate role.
She keeps telling me im not up to scratch, when she has hardly spent any time training me. I seek out questions, and try very hard, work long hours. I have explained to her i need training but hasn't really done anything about it except complain things aren't getting done and pointing the finger at me. She loves telling me what the problems are, but doesnt train me on how to fix them. I feel like im suffocating.

My gut is telling me, no matter what i do, she wont encourage my progression within the company and may in fact damange my reputation amongst other managers.

Shall i look for a new job? I have considered temping until i find a permanent job. What do you think? Im a warm, sensitive, caring person, confused with why i am treated this way.

I was working with a reputed Ltd.Company in Karad , but in the month of April ( i.e. 15.04.2006), I had lost my job and from then till date I am in search of good job. In my all interviews, I am selected but when the question comes on pay-package, nothing happened. Why this happening? when should I get good job and resettled down in my life.

company policy is if you don't lose them by the end of the year, you lose them...someone I know and am close to never takes them, even when they are sick. I told them that that is stupid...do you agree or disagree and why?

I have directed and been a cameraman on almost 500 episodes of various TV shows/formats, including children, music game-show;s and music videos. I have also directed documentaries for Shell Oil, SIUT Dewan Motors and many others. I would like to study filmaking in the USA and hone my skills further and at the same time be able to work there for a while after I pass out as it will give me the oppertunity to experience the american film inustry firsthand.
