I'm 16 and am unable to get a job due too lack of transportation. I live in a rather small town (pop 650) and the next largest city is a 40 min drive away.

Try using eBay to sell something of yours... if you can stand in line for a PS3 or Wii you could probably get one and then sell it for more money, but that would have worked better before Christmas. Also, some temp agencies will hire 16 yr olds, so you could look into that.

Try this: You live in a small town so find out where the older folks live and then go and tell them you are trying to earn some money and ask if there is anything you can do for them to earn some. Then if they are pleased with what you have done ask them if there is anyone one else they know of who might like to have something done so you can earn some money. First, older people can't do a lot of the things they like to have done, second they LOVE to have people (especially younger people) ask if they can help them out. Third, you will be helping someone who really needs and wants the help. ONE THING TO REMEMBER, older people are not cheap but they may not pay you as much as you think you should get so tell them right up front how much you would like to earn and they will tell you how much they will pay. You may have to visit five or six but you can get the money pretty fast if you are willing to go knock on a door.

Hi Phoenix,,,

This is a "2 Part " answer,,lol

First,,I stumbled upon your question about upgrading your Pentium 3 PC.
If you wanna re-ask it,,I'll give you some more info you may find useful.

2nd,,,
You've gotten some Great answers to This question.
I must commend everyone.

I agree with the idea of basically going "Door-to-Door" and Asking for any odd jobs.
You might be surprised how many things will turn up.

It may only be " $5 & $10 " deals,,but take what you can get & keep asking.

You may also consider writing your name/phone/ and "Odd Jobs" on a note and leaving with whoever you contact.

Often,,folks have nothing to do at this time,,but next few days, next week,,they just might

Within 2~3 weeks,,Wouldnt surprise me if you beat your $50 goal

Good Luck!

offer to help people do chores around the house for a small monetary fee. You can't ask too much or no one will want your help but you should get enough to make it worth your work. If you spend all day cleaning out a garage, you should expect at least 20-25 dollars. Now is the perfect time since alot of people will want help taking down christmas lights. It would be good to just ask them what they want done. They might want you to rake leaves, or clean out a room, or help them hang pictures. Its no telling what the job may be. Ebay and online sites will not get you the money as fast as you want it so you will have to find an alternative solution.
