I tried to hold it in, but couldn't. Not only that, it smelled bad, was loud and there was a few more after it too.

My employeer has all but given me the official "notice" he said by the end of the day I would know if I can keep my job or not. I am very upset seeing as how this job is the best job I have ever had, and I just bought a car. Now all of a sudden they don't know if they want to demote the old executive assistant back to her position and fire me or not. WTF??? I've been here 7 monthes - never called in sick or anything - always on time. Yet here I am trying to figure out how my family will make it on only one salary. I am normally a very positive person however this situation has gotten me all shook up and very depressed/stressed. Is there anybody out there that understands? Any words of encouragement and advice would be very appreciated.

I am tired of my current city and decided to move. My company has an office in the city where I'm moving to, so I kind of gave them an ultimatum: I moving and I can stay with your company...or leave. (I was nice about it of course). They graciously offered to let me work in the office of my new city. But since I told them that I was moving, I'm paying for all expenses. The cost of living is lower in my new city, so I doubt that they'll give me a cost of living increase. But should I ask for something extra?? I'm really only getting a job out of the deal, which I appreciate a lot :-)

I have an interview tomorrow with an animal hospital tomorrow. I don't know if I should take the job though. It is for a veterinary assistant which will pay 7/hr and 32-36 hours a week.

Here is the deal i have a full time job now paying me 7.50 for 40 hours a week. However for school I need to get experience for my vet tech major which is 300 hours in 3 months.

What should I do.

I live in England. I have heard that it is but I am unsure. I had two months off sick with a stomach disorder and when I went back to work I resigned after a week and didn't work my notice. What sort of reference will they give me? Can they give a bad one? Serious answers only please.
(If you insist giving on non-serious answers at least make them funny)

I worked for an employer in Connecticut for 1 year. I was doing a higher level job which paid more money than what I was hired to do. My employer promised to promote me and 6 months went by and I still never got the money promised or the promotion. I asked to go back to my old job and I was told they still had noone to do the job I was currently doing. Can I quit and collect unemployment based on a promissory estoppel by the employer?

How do I gain experience, its catch 22. Does a degree count for nothing these days, I spent 4 hours in agencies yesterday and the only thing I was offered was call centre work and tele sales, starting to wonder why I am 10k in debt!
