Professional affiliations are clubs or memberships you might have that pertain to your business area of expertise. For example, a physician might be a member of the AMA, a human resource representative might be a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), someone in business might be a member of the local chamber of commerce, etc.

Professional organizations or associations that you are a part of. Preferably ones that relate to the job for which you are applying (I've never seen a list of these used for anything else).
