I know accounting involves math, but what is the hardest math class you have to take. What other lucrative jobs require little math in college.

I got hired by an accounting firm. I was supposed to start work in July. I asked for an extension so that I could study for the CPA exam. The firm gave me the time off I requested. Now, I start in October, and I realize that I still NEED more time to study...I am afraid to ask for another extension of time off because they might get tired and fire me, even before I start. They were already very generous with giving me the extension of time off. Studying for the CPA exam will be harder with my work obligation on top of that...It is very time consuming...I want to start work with a clear mind thinking I passed all 4 parts of the CPA exam before I start....any suggestions for me?

My husband started a new job and his old boss was ok with it-or so we thought. He gave his boss 2 weeks notice and went through all the standard procedures for leaving a job. When it came time for me to go pick up his last paycheck this week his boss stated that my husband had cut the mattress and curtains in the sleeper berth of the semi he drove for this man. He said"I know you need the money, but I have to be fair" I know for a fact that the mattress and curtains were NOT damaged. Can he legally withhold his paycheck? Is there anything we can legally do? Can we ask to see this so called damage before he takes any money from us?

If Alberta has such a shortage of people to work, why not cut off the funding to the useless and unwilling and make them go back to work. With the wages we are offering anybody can survive on their own without gov't aid. I am not saying cut them off immediately, give them some help until the paycheck start rolling in an then let them stand on their own two feet. If they can't seem to find a job or hold one then cut them off totally because obviously they are unwilling and just to lazy to support themselves. Am I right? What do you think?

I attended a med assistant course in 1987 and graduated and became a Medical Assist. I attended LVN school in 2002-2003 and became an LPN/LVN in California. I want to get my "Certified Medical Assistant" certificate ...How can I get certified.????as an MA? Can I? is it possible? I want to be able to work in a Physicians office as a CMA., I'm finding that LVN's (according to most R.N's and Doctors) are Least Valued Nurses......No R.N.'s need to respond please. I have yet to find one that has treated me well.

How do you suggest he tells people (e.g. on job applications) without coming across as arrogant?

I am a recent university graduate seeking a junior copywriting position. I graduated with an English degree in the top 15% of my class, and am currently enrolled in a short course on copywriting at SFU’s Centre for Writing and Publishing. I also have some freelance experience in the creation of newsletters, brochures, press releases and direct mail fundraising.

My work experience up until now has given me additional skills that would be an asset to any team.

•I am a committed employee with demonstrated skills in problem-solving, time-management and supervision of others.
•Having worked as part of a team in event-planning, my communication skills enable me to work in a diverse number of environments.
•I am experienced with word-processing and MS Office programs, including Publisher.
•Organization and prioritization are second nature to me – I thrive under pressure, and am adept at turning stressful situations into those of success.

the rest doesnt fit. what do u think?

Right now we are thinking about moving out west to Edmonton Alberta Canada from Ontario (approx. 2 days driving). It seems scary now, I know that it would be for the best even if we just go out for a few years and come back, probably a great experience. I am just nervous about it I guess. I have never travelled or been anywhere before so that could be why I have so much anxiety.

I was wondering if the rest of you could share your experiences about moving far away from home, and what it was like? And what would you do? By the way we are thinking about moving out there for the work and my hubby's dad lives out there.

I have a job working for the State of Utah, so it pays bad and is a high stress job, however, I have the best benefits I've ever heard of, with how much I save on benefits I actually make as much as someone with my position in the private sector. I'm an Executive Secretary and I hate it, I want a job that I will like that makes the same amount of money or more, But then I think about how everyone hates there job and I just need to get use to it or that I'm being a baby. I feel like I dont fit in, everyone is 40 years or older and I'm only 20, I've worked here a year and I still dont feel confindent in this job. It gets really stressful and sometimes I even had to go to my car to cry, this job is giving me a lot of oppertunities, it will even send me to school, I just dont know how much longer I can take it, I feel drained when I get home, which is effecting my relationship with my fiance. Anyways...What should I do. I hate my job but it is a job with security and opportunity.
