I attended a med assistant course in 1987 and graduated and became a Medical Assist. I attended LVN school in 2002-2003 and became an LPN/LVN in California. I want to get my "Certified Medical Assistant" certificate ...How can I get certified.????as an MA? Can I? is it possible? I want to be able to work in a Physicians office as a CMA., I'm finding that LVN's (according to most R.N's and Doctors) are Least Valued Nurses......No R.N.'s need to respond please. I have yet to find one that has treated me well.

If you have been in the workforce in this field over the years then you should be able to sit for the exam. I have a friend that was an RN and she said that unless your an RN you don't rank high on the hospital food chain. But you would be pleased to know that doctors treat RNs like crap they just take it out on you because your a lower ranking nurse.
