http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/

This web site is the official federal employment web site. Your husband's military service will likely help him get a job with one of the countless agencies listed on here. Make sure he keeps a copy of his DD Form 214, he'll need it to verify his status as a veteran. Send ONLY COPIES of his DD Form 214 with the applications he mails in for different positions. Good luck!

Try www.opm.gov. That's for the Office of Personnel Management. I don't know is the Office of Veteran's Affairs can help. If he was covered by the Montgomery Bill, he should consider going to college. I know it's not a whole lot of money, but maybe he could go to a community college and pick up a trade if he is so inclined. I don't know what his job in the Navy is, so it's a little hard to know where to steer you. God bless you and you family.

You should look up some government services for veterans. They probably have some job training and job orientation stuff. You can get more definitive answers that way.

In the mean time, what would he like to do? Does he want a job where he can continue traveling? A quiet job? A job where he can do anything specific? Ask some questions.

Finish college first. See if there's something that he wants to do.

The GI Bill's college loan provisions are there for a reason. I hope your husband takes advantage of it.
