I remember one that a Radio Shack manager asked my husband: "If a person walks in with $20, how would you convince them to leave the $20 at the store."
It's a sales job, so ask them to sell you their pen they are currently using. You'll get an idea of their thinking on their feet ability.
Ask them why kind of investigation they did before the job interview concerning your products. They have never sold before but they should have the idea that first, you should know what you're going to be selling.

When we interview salespeople I always find that trying to make that person uncomfortable as possible is best. See how they handle pressure and difficult situations. What you're asking them doesn't matter (as long as you're staying away from things like sexual situations, race, age etc.) A person that can handle difficult or uncomfortable situations well is the kind of personality that can sell, you can train them on the product after you've made that determination.
