I have been there twice. I did survive both times. Remember, it is what it is. You can't change this situation, but you can control your future. In both occasions, I did find a better job. In fact most of my friends have lost their jobs at least once. All have done better. If you do loose your job, look at it as an opportunity to find a better one. You most certainly will. Get a copy of "Who Moved My Cheese?" It is a great book and will help you out. So, get down off the ledge and take control!!

There's a song that says some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers. I know you want to cling to the security of this job, but there may be something bigger and better waiting for you that you would never have known if this hadn't happened.
I hope that you do get to stay if that is what's meant to be, but if not, don't be discouraged. Go out and seek the next great thing with the experience you've gained. You're more marketable now and will be able to find something you love again in no time!

Relax. If you do end up losing your job, plan ahead to live simply until you can find another one. I was fired myself last year and it took me seven months to find another job. Put in applications to different companies and do your best to explain why you lost this job. Also, you can apply for a business liscense and have a small business in janitorial or bookeeping or computer repair or some other kind of work, until you are able to find another job. Also you may want to look into going to a community college to train for another profession.

Start posting your resume on Job Websites, Go and apply for other jobs now, and try to keep a positive attitude. Remember when one door closes (losing your job) another one opens.

Yes I have for years been underappreciated and seen others receive promotions. Got into real estate sales-no bosses really-and I have set the world on fire. To my past idiot bosses I say "In Your Face!"
You can do it to. Don't let people control you. Find your niche and use this for motivation to set the world on Fire! God Bless!

You seem to have excellent work ethics. Don't worry, you will have no trouble replacing this job with a better one. Sometimes things like this are a blessing in disguise. Just make sure to tell your boss to give you a good recommendation. He doesn't deserve you.

Talk to your boss. Don't go down without a fight or you're just another pushover for him. Your family depends on it.
