If you have a conscience, it is a very difficult thing to do. When you sell on ebay, it is understood that the item you are selling is in your posession and available for immediate delivery. If for some reason the drop shipper does not have the item on hand, or if it is out of stock or discontinued then it creates a situation where you are selling merchandise that you do not really have. So now you have their money but no way to deliever the product. You could just as easily give them back their money but you are still on the hook for the fees associated with selling on ebay.

I don't use a drop shipper and I sell on ebay. I prefer to examine each product I am selling and send it myself to insure positive feedback. Relying on a company to ship for you can be risky if the product is damaged or inferior. Your feedback rating on ebay is a strong marketing point, and it is important the product is exactly what you say it is and that it arrives without damage.

I haven't gotten to the point where I can make a living from ebay, but I do make extra money. A lot of time and effort goes into each sale, however, so you really have to love it or you will burn out quickly.

Hope this helps you. I don't thing I gave you the answer you were hoping for, but it is an honest one. :)
