Why? you're not trying to make "receptionist" a bad word like people have tried to do with "secretary." Are you? The receptionist is the person in charge of the reception on calls and guests. If you want to be a greeter, by all means call yourslef that. Keep in mind that you can call yourself something fancier, but employers follow particular guidelines for duties and compensation and may require you to go by whatever they say.
