I am a medical professional who spends a great deal of time in physician offices. Today while I was taking paperwork into one of the offices I encountered a woman who is now married to one of my ex's. We normally do not speak when we see each other in passing but I decided that I would politely say "hello" to her today. However, she glared and kept walking.

A little history.......
1. The ex and I parted on friendly terms. His wife and I have not ever had any problems in the past.

2. I am happily married. (to a guy who happens to have been friends with her brother since high school)

3. Professionally, we are at opposite sides of the corporate ladder. I am blessed to be almost at the top and she is a receptionist.

What do you think the problem is? How would you approach her in the future? Serious answers only.

I was called for an interview over the phone to be a copy editor at a magazine publishing co. and right away they asked me what my salary requirements were. I said 32-35,000/yr, and they sounded pretty enthusiastic. I dont want them to think "Awesome! we can pay this guy less than we planned!" When i go for the interview, whens a good time to ask about salary, and if my requirements are on par with what they offer?

I am applying to this naval museum and I passed the first interview but I am trying to get ahold of the new manager in charge. The first interview was almost 4 months ago and the position I wanted just re-opened.

Is it okay for me to call and re-send the resume even though they may have it on file?

What would you do if you have a co-worker that hates his job, that does nothing but complain, gives bad customer support and generally looking to get fired so he can collect unemployment.
The worse part of it is my supervisors keep telling us that they will look into it but probably don't care or don't want to find a replacement for him. He is upseting everyone at work and creating a bad influence, I want to say something but they said that I just need to get along with him. I love this job and don't want to quit but I'm getting to the point of dreading coming into work when he is here......... help please!!!!!!

My boyfriends 28 yr old son put one of those sticky fly traps above the kitchen counter where he prepares food. I told him I would not eat the stuff made in his kitchen because he has vomiting, disease infested flies hanging stuck on a sticky trap over his kitchen counter. I consider it just disqusting and nasty. Am I over reacting?

Could someone make $1500-$2000 a month being an Arbonne consultant?

How many hours a week would a consultant need to work?

You get a 1099 for taxes as a consultant, right?

Is this a long term job or does it fizzle out quick?

Is it better to get a full time job with benefits?

I'm thinking of going back to school. The problem I'm having is deciding which career path to take. I'm scared I'm going to choose something and end up where I am now, hating my job. I'm looking into the medical field, either a dental hygienist or an x-ray technician. Is there anyone is either field that can help me out?

Hey Guys,

I have a reached a point in my career where I will have to make the call to move further as to what do I sincerely desire to do. Whatever I am doing right now is a reasonably paid, decent job with good people around me. But I am just not feeling right about it - I do not think I belong there. I have to make a decision which will have to be honest enough to my perseverence and branching off from carefully tailored calls. I am currently in IT and have never been satisfied with what I have had to deliver - both in terms of work and in terms of characterization that you tend to imbibe out of work. I would like to make a switch over to the field of consultancy - but I remain undecided about whether I need to get into the Technology,Business,Management,Functional consulting area. I would like to know what one is supposed to possess for taking on such a role and executing it successfully. I like the perks that come along with these roles such as travelling, meeting new cultures.

How many people who are a member of a small religious group do you know who are unemployed? I know a few people in such groups, and all of them have had good jobs straight out of university. This seems just a little too convenient, am I being paranoid? I know it's not a part of the application process, but people who know people will help each other, especially, it would seem, in church groups. I know other people who are not in church groups who have all had to fight and struggle their way through university, unemployment, training for work schemes, etc to get where they are today. Is this just coincidence?

I know this sort of thing goes on outside of church groups too, and I don't think that's at all fair either.
