If your strengths or interests lie within writing, then it will be no harder or easier than any other major. If you hate math, have never done well in math classes, then a math type major would be difficult, for example. But if you mean is journalism vs. literature or some other type of writing major more difficult, then I would say no.
However, finding a job as a journalist is more difficult.
