What jobs can a 16 year old do that lives in NYC?

My only times to work are on the weekends, but, I'm curious to see if anybody could point me in the right direction.

I'm not looking for volunteering, though. I'm looking for some hard cash here. $$$

Help would be appreciated. <3

Starbucks is a great choice.
Trust me I know many people that work there (many of them Hispanics, I'm Hispanic too.) and they like their jobs. Hmm maybe i should apply.

I worked at McD's when I was 16 and it was a good job, I had fun there and meet a lot of friends that I am still friends with 14 years later.

Also I read the one that said Starbucks but why do you have to be white to work there?

What about working for a computer store? When I lived on Long Island, I visited my HS counselor and asked for advice on companies hiring teens. They gave me either a computer store runner position or basic office work shredding and shuffling papers. I chose the computer job. Now, I work for a major worldwide consulting firm. Never too young to start working and gaining experience.

Try call centers: the hours are flexible, the pay is great for part-time work, and they are ALWAYS hiring. Look for inbound call centers, though (customer service/ answering people's questions) not outbound call centers (calling people up and trying to sell them crap they don't want or need). It's easy money and not a bad job.

P.S. Why do you need to be white to work at Starbucks???

when I was 16 I worked at a public library after school, it didn't pay that much but it was a very interesting place to work, but I like books so that helped :) good luck I hope you find something that suits you.
