If so why?

Afraid of to change?

Do you look for another job before you leave?

Or you will look later?

Recently the company I have worked for the last year promoted me to a higher position. The problem is the position is a added 75 mile round trip drive from where I used to work. Also I never had a choice to accept it or decline it was told to take it and thats it.

I have a interveiw with a company I have followed for the last year and am really intrested in working for them.

Problem is I don't know how to answear the why I want to leave my current employer question seeing as how I just got promoted and I am not happy. I also was not happy with the company due to being salary and being forced to work 21 days in a row without one day off.

I don't want to bad mouth my current bosses etc, but I don't know how to spin a question like this and be honest at the same time.

Looking for some guidance here :)

Even though you worked harder and faster than others, you are still not good enough to qualify, what is up with that?
Does "Equal Opportunity and Equal Rights" still exist?

I'm moving to the area in 2 weeks and can't do a long-distance job search (I live 2 hours away and work insane hours). My husband of 1 week is a student at the University of Delaware and had an apartment in the college's family housing practically thrown at him today. He jumped on it, so SURPRISE I'm moving to Newark on the 8th! Not a bad thing (we live near Dover DE, one of the most boring places on the planet and horrible to find a decent job in) so I'm glad to get out.

I'm currently working as a department manager in a warehouse store so I have a lot of CS experience. I also have a lot of computer skills. I want to know how long to expect before getting an assignment through one of the temp agencies. I have a solid work history and I'm no slouch either. I can afford to be out of work for a month or 2 but still, I go crazy without work!

In the bussiness world, men want more from us women and love to take advantage from us. Just because their power it does not mean i should have to tolerate disrepect from them. Stand up for yourself even it means getting into trouble.

I have a lot of knowledge when it comes to computers. I know a lot about Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, Internet Explorer, how to file. I can type 75-80 words per minute, my data entry skills are about 12,000 ksph, which I was told by a staffing agency that is exceptional and they only require most people to get between 6 and 7 thousand for data entry. I have even won awards at a vocational school for a competition at the regional and state level in Keyboarding Production. I include all of that information in my resume and cover letters. Only problem is I dont have any real experience. I just have my knowledge and skills and the only kind of jobs I've ever had is like KFC, Wendy's, BP and Ace Hardware.

What can I do to make myself stand out so I can acquire a type of job like that? I feel like I've sent out so many resumes for a clerical type position, but have yet to be accepted for an offer or even an interview. I think I'm qualified with my skills.

Do you think African Americans and Hispanics make less money or get promoted less than Whites in the coporate job place. If so, what is your logic? If not, what logic supports this claim. Also, do you feel that a white supervisor is more likely or less to be-friend his minority employees more than white employees or vice versa?

Where I work, I am on less than minimum wage, work eight hours solid with no break, plus I'm being harassed from the other staff because I'm quite shy.
Having decided enough's enough, I want to legally sort out the situation, but as no contract has been signed either way, have I got a leg to stand on if I make a complaint against my boss or leave and claim unfair dismissal?

Last month I accepted a marketing position with a local business. I did about two weeks of marketing then production fell behind. I was then told to "help out" production. I spent the next three or four weeks in production. My managers called me in for a meeting and I told them that I was hired for marketing, not production. I went in the next day and told them that I would be looking for a new job because I was not overly interested in our products. Three hours later the told me to just finish up what I was working on and then I could go home and there was no need to come back. Was I laid-off or did I resign?
