Labor pays well!
Those guys rebuilding the roads and making you use one lane ... you've seen them...six guys watching and one guy digging...they make some good bucks working for the city, county, state.
For the long run though, consider some advanced education ~ online community college courses, trade schools or even workshops can give you some expertise in certain areas you are interested in.

Think outside the box ! Since you are just starting out, you have the option of building a great resume (job history) Look at your interests then try approaching a few professional offices with accounting , payroll, bookkeeping, customer resourses, Dental, Veternarian etc. Whatever your interests. There are many professionals that will hire as an apprentice and often pay for further education.

waiter...and live off of tips, UPS driver, supermarket cashier, coffee shops, bartender. OR, go back to school...junior or communtiy colleges are less expensive. Work part time, go to school part time...I put myself through school with NO financial aid and NO help from parents. It can be done.

Try working for the city or state...govt pays well...you may be stuck in retail, food, or blue collar work (factories, landscaping, etc)...try the carpenters union if you like that stuff...pays well!!
