when they ask just tell the truth, just be nice about it. "I feel that I wanted to work closer to home." that is probably your biggest problem. As for the working to much. Let them know that you enjoy what you do but the company has not giving you the adequate resources to let you do our job without having to work 21 days in a row. You are willing to work overtime when it is needed, but you felt there was an extreme. Just tell them you work for 3 weeks in a row without a day off. Anyone would understand that, it just shows your dedication to the project you were trying to do.
if anything, all you need to say is that you needed to work closer to home. That is a big reason for many people, and very valid. Keep it simple.
good luck.

You could use the old "I want to explore other opportunities" routine. You could also claim that you are happy (cough, gag, etc.) with your current job but that you would like something a little closer to home, being that travel takes away from your spending quality time with your family and gas prices are somewhat of a hardship. Along those same lines, if you already know the pay will be higher state that the higher pay is definitely an enducement to consider another company or line of work. Be sure you work it into the conversation that you have studied their company (because you are so interested in what they do, etc.), but don't volunteer too much (they like you interested but not gabby).

It is not neccesary to bad mouth your current employer at all, in fact if asked during an interview, it is best to speak about former employers only in a positive light. As to why you left, list one or two positive points about the company you are applying to (ie. Your high customer satisfaction ratings show a dedicated and knowedgable staff). Good Luck!

just say due to traveling expenses and unsociable hours, true without being critical.I'm sure it's illegal to work so many days in a row unless there is at least 12 hours gap between them. check it out to be certain. go for the new job and be happy. you only live once!!!! good luck

I always say I left a previous job because I wanted to further myself and my career with new experiences and find a greater opportunity for growth. I hope this helps a bit.
