Even though you worked harder and faster than others, you are still not good enough to qualify, what is up with that?
Does "Equal Opportunity and Equal Rights" still exist?

Only when there's nepotism involved...lol

Oh yes..to all the above...but some people don't care how hard you work...it's nothing to them...they just want a player on the team and one who doesn't rock the boat most times.

If you have more ambition than that, and are being held under someone's thumb, I suggest you find somewhere else to work...it's not worth the frustration or your time as you are batting your head against a wall and will never get anywhere.

Go where your efforts mean something...you'll know it when you find it!

I've never been told I'm not good enough to qualify for a job.

However, I'm a teacher. I'm not just any teacher. I've been teaching for ten years, I have a Master's Degree. I'm an award and grant winning teacher. I've been told I'm not good enough by angry parents, parents in denial and by my new, mediocre, and incompetent Principal.

While Equal Opportunity and Equal Rights does exist, we all have to face people who do not work as hard as we do, or are simply not as intelligent. You have come to an impasse...do you really want to work for (or with) someone like that? However great, or well paying, the job may be, it may not be worth the stress you will bring home.

Remember, while one door closes another one opens. For someone as hardworking and valuable as yourself, doors always open. Why work for someone who obviously does not value the work you do? Keep searching, there are better opportunities out there with people in charge that will value you and appreciate your work.

If we elect a Democratic president in 2008, "Equal Opportunity and Equal Rights" will return. If we elect a Democratic Congress this November, they may come back sooner.

Yes,it exists ..its called politics in the work place & who you know,

if your experiencing that type of treament you dont have to take it,find a career that has a rewarding outcome(mentally & physically).

You need to work where you will be happy, since we tend to spend more time at our jobs then we do at home or with our loved ones.

Take care of yourself cause if your not happy neither will anyone else be

Yep. At my previous job my boss routinely called me an f***ing moron, told me I was stupid, and that trained monkeys could do my job. By the way, I was (and still am) an emergency services dispatcher. So, I left and got a MUCH better job with people who appreciate me and don't violate my civil rights on a daily basis. Meanwhile, my former boss is being investigated by the FBI. Living well really IS the best revenge!

yes, I have gone through that. I was a cashier that worked and filled in more than the manager. I was doing some of the manager's reports for him. I kept being told that I was being trained for manager position at the store where I worked. After 4 months of working myself to death and being paid a wimpy $6/hour, I quit and I am going to college so I don't have to be lied to anymore.

Maybe because they thought you were not in the position..
Though you know, you are confident enough to
do the job as well as others can do..

Just stay focus...
And you will be in the right path..
To be as you want to be..(Be a good worker as youll ever be)

Goodluck on your career!

Yes I was told that all the time when I was a kid and in my teens. I was told it by employers who were too bumb to see that I had something to offer. Just keep keeping on.
