Just remember to be polite and formal. This isn't an informal thing with your friends. You're trying to sell yourself as this amazing employee that they couldn't help but hire. Think about if you were running a company. What kinds of people would you want to hire? What would you think about and ask in an interview? That might help you prepare.

Ok, say nothing about what you need--only ask about what they want in a new hire. Make sure you emphasize your desire to learn from an established veteran group of bankers and that you catch on quickly.

Though, there is one trick that works everytime. Before the interview get somewhere quiet and alone. You need to really get to a mental space that realizes you are excited about what you will be doing in the new job. If you really get that, the words and thoughts will flow with such enthusiasm that you'll have the job on energy alone.

Hope that helps

Be yourself. Take a few seconds before answering, sometimes it helps to say the question in your head before you answer. There are plenty of sites www.seek.com.au, www.mycareer.com.au which give advice on how to prepare for job interviews.

A year experience, you're right is very very little. You are 12 months away from knowing nothing. I would just ask the person out first chance you get.
