It seems like jobs that pay well do so because the job takes a lot of training and skill, and those are usually the most desirable jobs. And the nasty, unpleasant jobs are the ones with little skill involved, and they don't pay much. Are there any jobs that don't take much skill or training, but pay well just because the work is so awful?

(I'm happy with my job, I'm just curious.)

I just got hired to be a salesmen and I don't like salesmen and it my first job. I get paid pretty well and I get a % of the money on want I sell. I don't want to bother people at their homes. I think that I wouldn’t make good salesmen because I get nervous around new people. They also give college money and I do need it. I just need some good advice.

Money or happiness? Would you accept a job paying less (lots less, but enough to survive) which offered you a chance to do something you truly loved doing...or a job with a big salary doing something you're good at, qualified for, but not especially enthusiastic about?

men get the better job sometimes because of them being males and when females come into the picture, its a competition. but i believe women are a little bit more smarter than men. maybe not all the time but why do men get the better jobs when its a woman's job in the first place.

If I am sitting at my desk--WHILE AT WORK--with a toothpick between my teeth and my bottom lip, straight up and down, and use said toothpick to poke my nose repeatedly when suddenly, a coworker surprises me from behind and causes the toothpick to go up into my nose, causing injury, bleeding, etc.?

My boyfriend is being discriminated at work for some unknown reason and may end up getting the sack. he is a policeman and his tutor hates him this man is now stirring crap about him and making my boyfriends working environment very unpleasant.
He has only just started the job so this tutor basically decides whether or not he stays.
I'm so upset because being a policeman is a role he was obviously born into and it's so sad to see it being taken away from his. What can we do?
