It seems like jobs that pay well do so because the job takes a lot of training and skill, and those are usually the most desirable jobs. And the nasty, unpleasant jobs are the ones with little skill involved, and they don't pay much. Are there any jobs that don't take much skill or training, but pay well just because the work is so awful?

(I'm happy with my job, I'm just curious.)

Like I told my son, If you get a good education you dont have to worry with the "Awfull" jobs. In fact if you really think about it no one really if they had a choice wants to work. But if you get a job and do the best you can no matter what it is your doing it wont be as awful as you might imagine it to be. My paw in his early years was a grave digger. Now to me thats defiently a job I wouldnt want to have to do, but it fed my dad and the rest of his family

Working on a fishing boat in Alaska. It pays $120K/year. The work is nasty and the conditions are awful. Also, mostly ex-convicts do the work.

I'm glad you're happy with your job.
