men get the better job sometimes because of them being males and when females come into the picture, its a competition. but i believe women are a little bit more smarter than men. maybe not all the time but why do men get the better jobs when its a woman's job in the first place.

Lets start off by saying your 19 years old and working for a landscaping co. So you have probably been working now for some 4 years and putting your time into a good education. You have your goal set for 20 and being the second richest person in America. And men are beneath you.
Come on lets all be real, In America you can be what ever you want to be. There is more equality in 2006 than in any other time in history. The only things holding women back are the same things holding men back, DETERMINATION... If you can think of a job only men are dominating please post because most likely there is a woman doing the same thing or has tried the same thing.

It is still a man's world. Everyone still assumes that the men are taking care of the family. In reality its the women who are taking care of the family the majority of the time. This might not be true is some places, but I do think it is true in the majority. They get the better jobs because it is still mostly men running the companies. Very few women ever have the opportunity to run their own company, because of taking care of the children, which takes up any money available. If you are a woman with your own company, I think that is fantastic. We may be physically the weaker ones, but I think we are stronger mentally. You may not be born into money but you can make your own way. It will be harder for you because you are a woman, but it can be done. Keep trying, you can make it.

It's probably because things had started in cultures prejudiced in favor of men, and it's just so hard to change old stereotypes of men being "more capable". You'll know we've finally started to equalize when the leaders of nations start being about more equally filled by women leaders as much as men.

Well you wouldn't know it by your question. If you really want to get into the job market pay more attention in your English class. The wording of that question was horrible.
