Great! I did it off and on for 25 years. I used to say that I was getting paid (quite lucratively) for socializing. You can make really good money if you're good at it.

Depends.

I worked at a college bar all through my college days and beyond. Sometimes hard work, but the cash money is very good and the fringe benefits are the best of any job in the world.

There is something about being on the other side of the bar that makes hot, beautiful women befriend you very quickly...women that would not give you a second glance if you were just a guy in a bar. I can say that my bartending days bring back some of the best memories of my 20s....heck I could write many of those Penthouse Forum letters myself, and I was a total dork with women before!

my mom bartender for 7 years, she was never home with me and my brother even on holidays we hated it she did good in tips, but she says being a bartender really sucks when you want to be part of the party , because bye the time you get off work all your friends are already so drunk you can't catch up.

Depends on the situation you are in with you life. B/c if you have a bf/gf then there is hardly no time. But on the plus side tips are great. Dont ever let people waiting when the want a beer though they tend to get kinda mean.
