Call AND write a letter for a follow up.
Thank the interviewer for their time and express your continued interest in the position that you interviewed for.
Briefly highlight your qualifications and how you think you can benefit the company if you are the shosen candidate. Portray yourself as the solution to their problems with this unfilled position.
Be professional, gracious, and brief.
Good luck on that!

You thank the people, you reiterate why you feel you are qualified for the position and express enthusiasm for the job and the company. That's where you get the opportunity to clarify anything you may have stumbled on during the interview. Make sure if you were interviewed by what I call the "round table", that you got their business cards or that you call and get their names so that you can address your letters correctly. Don't do a form letter and send it to them all, that is tacky. Write each one individually.
