Tattoos - November 2007

When I was in high school I had my eyebrows tattooed on and they are horrible! I just paid someone $250 today to fix them and they are still horrible! Does anyone know a good tattoo makeup artist? My advice- go to an Asian person, not Caucasian!

I'm planning on getting a tattoo on my foot this Friday morning. I know tattoos scab up and that if the scab gets pulled off it affects the inking of the tattoo. I have soccer practice the following Tuesday in the late evening. By wearing my cleats, will the rubbing ruin the tattoo? Even if it's wrapped?

Is it possible to get a tattoo done with texture? I mean, could the artist put more ink into a spot for example to raise the skin on that area? I can't find any info on it, but I've seen a few photos where the tattoos look almost embossed...

hey. my big bro has lots of visible tattoos (he has full sleeves amoung others) and wears short sleeved shirts all the time. he also has some face piercings. he works in a record store where the manager is pretty cool when it comes to body mods, but he said that's rare and that very few employers are tolerant of visible tattoos and piercings.

where do you work? have you ever had trouble with an employer because of your tatts (or piercings)? thanks.

I got tattoo recently on my foot. I washed and used the ointment the tattoo artist gave me for 3 days and then switched to lotion. I kept it moist all day for a few days until it all peeled. I thought it was fully healed and it looked good but when I stopped putting lotion on it all of the time it got this rough top layer on it that is like white around the outside of it. In the middle where there is color it is shiny and cracked. Lotion doesn't do anything for it. Will it be okay?

I like the word zen and it means a lot to me, im thinking of getting that word tattooed in japenese characters even if people have been saying that its out of style. anyway i thought of putting the symbol around the word since the symbol for zen is a circle. What do you think? would it be too much?

My family means more to me than anything else in this world and I want to get a tattoo the respresents my love for my family. This is my idea:

The words FAMILY LOVE HAPPINESS HEART written in the shape of a heart, and it will be placed in the middle of my chest, above the breast line.

Tell what you think of my idea, and give me some other ideas of a nice tattoo that I could do in honor of my family to represent how much I love them. They are everything to me. No matter what idea I choose it will be on my chest.

I got a tattoo above my ankle four days ago. It's been feeling rather itchy and dry, and today when I was applying A&D I noticed several white cracks running through the tattoo. Is this normal? Are they permanent?

i totally forgot... but, the tattoo is looking relatively healthy and seems to be healing moderately well and fast, the peeling process seems to be over... but, i've had it for 10 days on the dot... will I be all set? What does it look like when you lose ink? is it visible to the naked eye? because i didn't happen to see anything.

Okay this is more for the girls but boys can answer too. Oh a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst how bad does getting a lower back tattoo hurt? I am getting my very first tattoo ever on Friday. Trust me I am not a complete wimp but I was just wondering how badly I am going to suffer. The tattoo I am getting is going across my lower back. It is not tiny but it is not huge either. It is medium size I would say. Any advice for the big day???

I have been reading around here about the ignorant people who have been making homemade tattoo guns and then think they are artists.

What are you stupid people thinking? Why do you think it's cool to give yourself a kitchen job homemade tattoo?
