I used Aquaphor on all of my tats, you can find it at almost any pharmecy, grocery store, general store. Just be careful with what you put on yours because some ointments can hurt your tats in the long run.

you don't need to put any numbing or pain relief cream directly on a fresh tattoo. you can take a pain reliever a few hours after the tattoo if it is that bad but i have never had to do that. usually my tattoos aren't sore after the initial 24 hours except for the few times i had a session that lasted over 3 hours but that was more of a muscle pain from being still and in a weird position. you can also take an ice pack and wrap it in a towel and put it on the tattoo which should help with pain and any swelling that may occur.

Yes but I have heard it is better off not having any numbing because that actually makes the pain worse once the numbing wears off because you haven't slowly gotten used to it.

The best way to avoid any pain caused from a tattoo, is not to get a tattoo.

I don't remember having pain.I even went to work about an hour after I got it.It was put on my ankle. I guess you could get something from your doctor or go ask the pharmacist for something.
Good luck
