I once accidentally bathed too and all sorts of things happened.

Oh, sounds like you were lucky, seems like it's OK. It's not like you were in long enough to have it wrinkle up, is it? You know how your fingerprints do that if you spend a long time in the bath? All the skin layers line up differently? You would see it by now if it was stretched out.
Do you have some aftercare cream? Keep putting that on regularly & the tattoo should be fine. Don't put on more or less! Keep going as you are. Congratulations on your new tattoo!

you're high quality, the ink won't pop out. It became no longer a solid concept to soak the tattoo, we endorse waiting approximately 4-6 weeks in the previous soaking or submerging the tattoo. Your artist would desire to have instructed you that or provided some care information approximately it. once you dab the tattoo, it extremely is not ink popping out of your dermis, somewhat, it extremely is the precise layer of dermis, which will scab and peel, retaining lots of the ink from the tattoo technique. you will see after it scabs and starts off peeling, that evidently like the tattoo is "coming off." it extremely is meant to try this. The ink is under the exterior, 3 layers deep. We shed our dermis approximately each 30 days, the very precise layer, and whilst it is injured contained in the tattoo technique, it sheds and replaces itself with new, healthful dermis. only provide it time, yet please, bathe until eventually it is thoroughly healed. terrific desires!!!

Did some fool actually tell you can't bathe it at all?????
For the first 24-48 hours, you should not expose it to water. That's true.
After that, you just need to be careful. No very hot water, at least not at first. No scrubbing or rubbing, just very gentle wiping at the area. No super long soaks at first.
If you've had it ten days, though, and took a shower or a bath, you should be okay.

My first question is have you kept it moist? You can apply vasiline before getting in the shower on a new tattoo to seal out water exposure. However actually gently washing the new tattoo gently with your fingertips an antibactieral soap once a day will not hurt it (pat gently dry) as long as you keep vasilene or bacitracin on the area (Also keep it out of the sun & apply sunblock to your tattoo's when in the sun after they heal to retain color). Where you will get in to trouble is if you let it scab or dry out at all while healing. Scabs will pull (sometimes all of the color out). You really won't know the full outcome of your color retention untli the tattoo is 4-6 weeks old.

Taking a shower does not affect the tattoo - what are you people talking about? I have a lot of tattoos and so does my husband and we wash them regularly to get all the gunk off them from the ointment. Are you serious?

IT makes your Skin look like it has a scar and not a tattoo. But if it's healthy like you said you should be good to go. Good luck =D

well.. I am sure that 10 days wouldn't hurt.. guess you can say I kind of cover my tattoo when I bathed. but.. I don't think it would hurt it.. I just asked my father who had tattoos on his arms and his back... so. he too don't think it would hurt it either..
So hope I helped... and you can ask the tattoo artists about it...

You'll be fine. At worst you'll have to go in for a minor touch up.. but you're fine since it's been 10 days already. Don't sweat it!
