My family has tattoos, but recently my dad has expressed an interest in learning more about the art form from the artist side. Can anyone recommend a magazine that would be good for him?

tattoo magazines are more about displaying artists talent and advertizing products. there are no tattoo magazines that teach about tattooing or any techniques. the tattoo industry for the most part closely guards it's secrets and for a good reason. if your dad is interested in becoming a tattoo artist he needs to try to get an apprenticeship. is he artistic in any way? because gone are the days when just anybody can be a tattooer. you MUST have a firm artistic ability in order to make it as an artist these days.
