My family means more to me than anything else in this world and I want to get a tattoo the respresents my love for my family. This is my idea:
The words FAMILY LOVE HAPPINESS HEART written in the shape of a heart, and it will be placed in the middle of my chest, above the breast line.
Tell what you think of my idea, and give me some other ideas of a nice tattoo that I could do in honor of my family to represent how much I love them. They are everything to me. No matter what idea I choose it will be on my chest.

I can't put their names in the heart. My entire family means everything to me, to include them all I would need my whole body lol. If I use my idea it will just be those four words.
If you guys can think of other things I could do to represent my love for my family let me know

i think you should get the names of people you love and trust spiraling to form the shape of a heart and with pink letters and a black back round with wings on the sides that would be so cool.

Love the idea!
I think the placement can be a bit tricky and prepare for a long haul on this one. I am guessing that any area right on top of your sternum is going to be a bit painful. Plus I guess it also depends on how big you are "up top there" if you know what I mean. *blush* cause that will give a lot of trouble if the artist has to push the edges of the piece out just so the detail doesn't suffer. You have to remember that you can't make it to small, or it just won't look right.
I think your placement idea is very cool, not many people get ink right on top of thier sternum. I haven't seen it anyway, I've seen some above the breast, on it, around it, but not smack dab in the middle.
I'll give you the usual spiel to people who I think have the right motivation for ink:
Research your artist and the shop to make sure you two click. Some questions you should ask yourself are, am I comfortable with the artist I have? Does he understand my idea? Is it clean here? How have other people rated this place?
Good luck and let us know how it went!

Something with meaning huh? Well how can a load of strangers give you ideas that are meaningful to you? Only you can decide what is meaningful, to some people their butterfly tattoos are deeply meaningful, it's just not your taste, that's all. Sorry but this is something you have to research and decide for yourself.

I like the idea, however, (and this is just my opinion) I think it might not be a good choice for the chest if you are ever considering adding more to your chest. But if you are not, then it's a nice and simple piece.

Sounds awesome.
Would the words be written in cursive?
I think that would help them flow so much smoother and really make the heart look great.

I like your idea. Depending on how big you want the heart, I think it would be nice to put some of the names of your family members in the centre of the heart.

Sounds awesome! Maybe instead of the middle of your chest you could put it over your heart.
