okay me and my boyfriend been dating for 5 months and we have'nt seen eachother in about 3 weeks bacause we went out of town. my mom wanted to spend time with me the same day my boyfriend wanted to go to the movies with me on. if i blow off my mom she would be hurt and upset because i basically chose a guy i loved for 5 months over a woman i loved my whole life. i told me boyfriend i MIGHT not be able to go to the movies with him and he was already upset with me. if i blow him off he would get really mad at me and start thinking i dont care about him. he's gonna be busy the whole week and im not sure if i can go to the movies with him next weekend either! i wanna spend time with my mom cuzz family's first but im risking loosing the love of my life! i dont know how to get him to understand

A mother and her 5 yr old son were flying Southwest Airlines from Kansas City to Chicago .

The son (who had been looking out the window) turned to his mother and asked, "If big dogs have baby dogs and big cats have baby cats, why don't Big planes have baby planes?" The mother, who couldn't think of an answer, told her son to ask the stewardess.

So the boy walks to the galley and asks the stewardess, "If big dogs have baby dogs and Big cats have baby cats, why don't big planes have baby planes?"

The stewardess responded, "Did your mother Tell you to ask me?" The boy said, "Yes, she did...."

It made a HUGE sound.....I ran outside and there it was....Very unusual looking. It reminded me of a boomerang.

I know it is a massive culteral divide.

In the UK where I was brought up, anything under 5 years old is seen as barbaric.

Now in NYC I see babies 6 months old with little earrings.

My daughter is 2.

Maybe I will wait until she can decide for herself.

What are the general thoughts out there on the matter??

My friend and I play "heart fart" often (when you jam your thumb knuckles really hard repeatedly into the middle of someone else's chest until you hear a loud farting sound coming from the heart). Afterwards I always feel a little bit of discomfort for a couple of minutes, but then I feel fine. Is it possible that we're causing any long term damage, or is this safe?

I call my daughter Sweet pea. I gave her that nickname when she was first born and low and behold almost 4 yrs later she is not really that sweet. To me she can be sweet, but she's actually a bully at daycare, etc... I was wondering if anyone else has nicknames that do or don't fit their child?

I have taken the pill before and would always skip the last week of placebo and go right into the next pack and it would always skip my period. I just started taking them again and when I skipped the placebo I got my period a week later...its been two weeks now and Im still bleeding heavy. I haven't missed any pills..why do I have my period?

I have heard horror stories about this drug causing people to have horrible accidents and side effects, but I have been on it about a week, and absolutely nothing like that at all. Nothing has changed in that area at all. I have heard people say there is a lot of oil in the toilet when they use the bathroom, but I don't have that at all. I know people might say I'm lucky for not having any ill side effects, but I worry if it's even working. I keep my meals around 15 grams of fat each, but I'm seriously thinking of eating a fatty meal, just to see if it has any effects on me, atleast I would know it was working!!! Please, I would love to hear some advice and experiences from people who have taken alli. PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT IF YOU ARE ADVERTISING SOMETHING!!!

This "news story" was posted on yahoo home page unbleavible.(http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070718/ap_on_re_us/prisons_racial_disparity) it stated that the reason was "reflect a failure of social and economic interventions to address crime effectively," as well as racial bias in the justice system" ya that or they commit more crimes which is probibaly closer to the truth stop comitting crimes stop going to jail. has little to do with bias, it's just a fact that more blacks and more hispanics commit more crimes than whites do. your thoughts?

I am a current patient in one dental office where I had two dentists assigned to me in a three year span. The first one (a woman) did my teeth for two years and told me that she was "leaving the practice." She replaced by another (a man), who only lasted one year when he too said he was "leaving the practice." Next thing I knew, he flew off to another state. I never bothered to ask both of them what they meant by that.

Are they going back to school to get a advanced degree or training to be a dental surgeon? This is just a general guess on my part.

I am currently on my third dentist in the same office, but he's not leaving any time soon... he's the dentist with the most seniority and have been there long before the two dentists that worked on me.

Preferably someone who works in a dental office could answer this question.
