okay me and my boyfriend been dating for 5 months and we have'nt seen eachother in about 3 weeks bacause we went out of town. my mom wanted to spend time with me the same day my boyfriend wanted to go to the movies with me on. if i blow off my mom she would be hurt and upset because i basically chose a guy i loved for 5 months over a woman i loved my whole life. i told me boyfriend i MIGHT not be able to go to the movies with him and he was already upset with me. if i blow him off he would get really mad at me and start thinking i dont care about him. he's gonna be busy the whole week and im not sure if i can go to the movies with him next weekend either! i wanna spend time with my mom cuzz family's first but im risking loosing the love of my life! i dont know how to get him to understand

My gf has the same exact problem! Try going out with your mom the next day! You've been with her for your whole life and want to experience time with someone new and interesting. Try and get her to understand that.

The best thing you can do is make him mad because you will see him for the person he is, you wont always have your mom so I vote for going with Mom and If your boy friend has a problem then dump him.
