I've never heard of that game before. It doesn't sound very safe though. At the very least you probably end up with a lot of bruised chests. If you do it hard enough, you could break one of your ribs or injure the breastbone. If you are very unlucky you might even cause the heart to stop, very rare but it has happened before.

I have never heard of this but have to say that jamming anyone's chest hard and repeatedly doesn't sound like a sensible plan. Apart from the risk that you damage your heart, there are your lungs, stomach, liver and other important structures in there which aren't meant to be prodded. That is why you have a rib cage - to protect the most delicate organs.
If you feel any discomfort you should stop it. It really sounds like a pretty pathetic game and if you did it to someone with an undiagnosed heart problem, who knows what the consequences could be. Would you like to live with the guilt of harming someone in that way for the sake of a strange noise?

Absolutely it is not safe, easy way to kill each other. Many people have died from being struck in the chest. You are likely causing trauma to the heart and your lungs, could rupture the heart sac or even damage the heart tissue. Stop it@!

Hmm, punching your heart, what about that seems weird? Sounds like a self induced heart attack! I continue to be amazed but what kids do these days!

You what?? Could you REALLY believe that is harmless?
Get real. Find a new hobby that where you two don't have to hit or jam each other---anywhere on the body.
