Like Sean C said. Loss of hands can represent that you have lost the ability to feel useful in a area of your life. You feel hindered that you can not act on something which you desire to. One, because you have lost the confidence to do so. Two, there are some things which you are harboring in your heart which falls along the lines of "foolishness".

Not sure how that got into your subconscious mind. However, if sometimes you walked by or have seen some disabled individual or even news about no hands people (I have seen one Youtube video about Chinese woman without hands) Somehow you may think of being handicapped yourself and may dream about it. But...
Hands = control, attention seeking, major part of body language tool.
Projecting yourself not seeing any body part shows sign of low self esteem and you may be seeking for help or support in some aspect of life.

it probably means that u have lost ur touch, like u have lost one of ur skills..
not necessarily with your hands but u just cant do something u used to do, like biking or playing piano, try thinking of something that u havent done in a loonngg time..

probable, you dont use your hands enough for the right things like to help your self etc.your dream was tellin you what it might be like to experience life w/out hands and how did you like your dream?
