I have salsa, guacamole and chips to go along, is there any other side dish that would go well? How about a mexican type dessert also?

Salsa and guac are good to be able to add to the salad, usually ya crunch up the chips over it---which is not necessary if you are serving them on a fried tortialla bowl or on a bed of chips. Taco Salad is pretty much a meal in and of itself. I would go really lite on the dessert, maybe a flan or even just fresh fruit.

MEXICAN DESSERT

1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. water
5 c. French bread cubes
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. peanuts
1 c. diced sharp cheddar cheese

Combine sugar, cinnamon and water. Boil gently until sugars dissolved. Pour hot syrup over bread cubes and toss lightly. Add raisins, peanuts and cheese. Toss until blended. Spoon into 2 1/2 quart greased casserole. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.

I love making taco salads. When we get a group of friends together for a fun dinner we have a taco bar. That way your guest can make whatever they want.....Tacos, Taco Salad, Burritos...this what I have:

Ground Turkey or beef, flour tortillas, tortilla chips, crispy taco shells, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, avocados, salsa. Sour cream, shredded cheese, romaine or ice burg lettuce, homemade Spanish rice, pinto beans whole or smashed. Then for dessert we toast shredded coconut and serve with vanilla ice cream. Make a solid ball of ice cream and roll it in the toasted coconut. Serve in a bowl topped with caramel. SO GOOD!!!!!

****Oh and don't forget the beer (Corona or Dos XX)and hot peppers....how could I forget that?!?!?!

Taco seasoning with turkey, chicken or hamburger meat. Some like beans Lettuce tomatoes onions and cheese. I like the scoped chips then meat and beans then cheese put in microwave till the cheese melts do this at 30 sec. intervals. add the salad and salsa, then take wishbone salad dressing heat in bowl and pour over the salad. Its wonderful.

I think a taco salad and the chips/dips you mentioned pretty much make it a complete meal.

How about Flan for dessert? Or sopapillas (deep fry flour tortilla triangles, serve w/ honey and/or cinnamon-sugar).

Rice and/or cheese quessadillas

I can't think of any Mexican desserts, but, it would be a good idea.

... and don't forget a mexican beer to wash it down.

Mexican lagers such as Dos Equis, Bohemia, Victoria, Tijuana Guera, Tijuana Morena and Negra Modelo are far superior.

Quesadillas might be nice, or spanish rice.

A good dessert might be brownie sundaes - brownie, vanilla ice cream, fudge sauce.
