Go to the application vendor's website and see if they have a compatibility statement. If it is a popular application, you may also be able to find it on the Microsoft website but I'd rely on the vendor for more up to date information.

If it works. Its compatible.

If it doesn't. Its not compatible.

I've never heard of anything testing compatibility of something with an OS without the product directly saying it.

Um see if it works or get an error. If it dont work, try compatibility mode.
