I would boil the chicken first, remove it from the bone and take off the skin, then add your vegetables. The vegetables will become to soft and unedible if you do them all at the same time.

It is best to boil the chicken first until it is cooked and then you can add the veggies afterward. Chicken takes longer to cook and you may want to remove some of the foam that comes from the chicken after it is boiled. Don't get rid of the water that you boil the chicken in just use a spoon and lift out the foam.

As long as it is boiled not just put in a slow cooker. You will need to get the chicken up to 168 degrees F. to kill any salmonila that might be hiding inside. Boiling will be at 212F.
Just make sure that it is fully cooked before you eat it and you should be fine.

first you clean the chicken then put it in a pot to cook with water after 35 minutes of cooking you can add the vegetables this way they wont get mooshy. add seasoning such as salt pepper oregano and a little adobo goya and presto. chicken stew!

i would cook the chicken in the oven or something first to make sure that the rest of the stew isnt contaminated with salmonella
