Hi there,

I am going to visit a friend of mine in Chicago, and he is convincing me of staying in the Rosemont area instead of downtown since its cheaper and just 35 mins away by train. I want t to go out and enjoy the best of Chicago, resurants and night life, and was wondering if he's right and you can enjoy it by staying 20 miles away ! So for those who live in Chicago, what do you think guys ?

Tomorrow I'm driving to Bangor Maine, following 295-95 into Bangor. I'd like to see 'something' while I am in Maine but I'm at a loss as to what to catch that won't be too far off my path. Any attractions that you can recommend?

Why is it so hard to find a job. I recently finished my externship hours to graduate school for medical administrative assistant. I have put my resume online at different places. I had an interview on monday and it went like hell cause I only got asked like two questions the girl who interviewed me was "drained" from finals that morning so she didnt say much just what the front office does which I have done the basics at my externship place. I was working at a chiropractors office which I enjoyed but only doing my hours there. The school is helping me find a job but its almost going on two weeks that I have been without a job. It's so stressing. Then I think I want to go back to school for something else. but I would have to find a job either way too pay for it. Atleast part time if that. I live in a small town so I drive about 45 minutes to San Antonio to either go to school or get a job. The distance isn't a problem, but finding a job sucks. Anyone wanna try to help me get a job? :) Or any San Antonians know who is hiring maybe at your job? :) I mean its so hard finding one that I am even thinking about getting any job just to bring some income to my household

This is a very serious question. I can't figure out why my parents won't let us live in Uganda or the Phillipines. Sure, maybe some people like to ski, but do you really think sagebrush and scragly bushes in hard dirt make for a pretty landscape? Please, tell me why you'd ever want to live in Utah! Perhaps then I can understand my parents better and come up with a more persuasive argument to go to Greece.

I have an aunt and cousins visiting NY soon from the Philippines. And she insisted that we go see the Niagara Falls on US border. I know.. I know... From hot to COLD. Sighs! I tried to discourage her but she owns a business and it peaks in the summer so here it goes. Anyway, from LGA.. which airport do we land to see the Falls? And is it far from the airport to the Falls? How far and how much are hotels around there? Please help. Thank you.

We are travelling from GA to Williamsburg, VA in a couple of days and every site I've been on gives directions for major highways. Are there any sites that give you directions using back roads? I've already tried mapquest, yahoo, and rand mcnally.

Hello all!
I currently reside in greater Boston but want to move to LA to pursue a career in the film business. I plan on screenwriting, and at the same time holding down a mindless job that pays the bills while I get my foot in some doors in Hollywood.

Here a few of my questions (in list format):

1) Do I need a car in Los Angeles, or is getting around in public transportation good enough?

2) If I do need a car, would it be better to buy one where I live now or to buy one in LA? I'm not sure of the insurance and tax stuff in NH compared to LA.

3) I am looking to live in a nice, low-crime area by renting an apartment. I can afford up to $900 a month. Do you recommend any particular areas of LA that might fit my budget?

4) Do any of you have further tips on finding good apartments in LA, besides using apartments.com or Craiglist?

Well, that's about it :)
Any help from you all will be much appreciated.
I look forward to all your answers, thanks.
