I'm taking a trip to New York city in a week, and I need to find the cheapest hostel in Manhatten. I'm wanting to stay there for about 5 days give or take.

I'm thinking of moving to San Diego, but I hear its very very expensive. So I'm looking for a less expensive, but still SAFE neighborhood. And if you tell me a neighborhood----also----why is it inexpensive? Is it at all dangerous, or is it far away from the best parts of the city, or is it an ugly neighborhood?

I love stuff like the Blair Witch thingy, but would like to find a place that is truly haunted where I might get a chance to experience something that will scare the hell outta me and a couple of friends. Kinda new at this but do have some "ghost hunting" tools as well to take with me. I just want an experience that will last a lifetime.....I live in the western NY area in the States.....anyplace around or are there any places that are haunted where I could pay to stay?Kinda excited after watching VH1's Celebrity Paranormal Project....kinda freaky but I want to do it.....

I've never been there and I'll only be able to spent a day there (12-13 hrs). I'm from Texas and this is my first trip to both NYC and Philly, so I need specifics (train #'s, station names, corner streets, etc.). I'd like to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and all that good stuff. Thanks for your help!!

I'm interested in the continuing rejuvenation of the Boston area, and I used to work in the Downtown Crossing area. I enjoyed watching the Paramount's facade and the Opera House renovations, but I have unfortunately moved out of state and miss hearing about these. Has anyone been by lately to see how the Paramount/Arcade building & Modern Theatre renovations, etc. are going??? Thanks much! A former Bostonian in location, A lifetime Bostonian in heart.

I am looking to move somewhere where it is not overcrowded and the cost of living is not skyrocketing. I prefer a small to medium size town. (I've had enough of all these New Yorkers!) good neighborhood, good schools, good paying jobs... I am just sick of New York.... I'm turning 19 in January and I currently live with boyfriend... I am breaking up with boyfriend and going to start a new life ALONE.... any suggestions.... I just quit my job... would like to move within the next 6 months to a beautiful inexpenisve area... can anyone give me some suggestions or states or somewhere where there is a MUCH LOWER CRIME RATE.. AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING.. and GOOD PAYING JOBS at least! I don't like the cold so moving somewhere where there is cold is not good. I am anemic so moving to the cold won't do it for me... someplace that is warm all year round would be good.
