California. Advantages - weather is the best of the three you mention. the winters are mild, yet the summers aren't scorching hot and humid. You can go from the beach to real mountains in a matter of a couple hours drive. Disadvantages - cost of living is the highest. The ocean water is much colder than either Texas or Florida. Liberal wackos operate at a much higher level in CA.

I've been to all three places and I would have to go with Texas. Probably the Houston/Galvaston area. Too many nuts and fruits in California and it's cloudy every single morning. And Florida??? America's nursing home and every time I've gone, it rained.

Texas, but in none of the large metroploitan areas. Traffic is too hideous there. A smallish suburb about 30 miles out of any city in Texas is a super place to be.
