a friend of mine told me she lives a few blocks from the old cbgbs, im just womdering what borough she might live in. i know cbgbs was in the east village in manhattan but my question is is there another borough close by, say tribeca? cause she said she doesnt live in manhattan

If she lives anywhere near the old cbgbs, she lives in Manhattan. cbgbs was at 315 Bowery btwn E.1st St and E.2nd St in the East Village. If you walk a few blocks west from there it is the West Village. A few blocks south is either Soho, Little Italy or the Lower East Side. You'd have to walk down through Soho to get to Tribeca. It would be about 15 blocks from cbgbs.

Tribeca is not a borough, it is a neighborhood.
There are 5 boroughs: Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island.
If she doesnt live in Manhattan, but she lives near the old cbgbs, She doesnt exist. Maybe by close by she means a few train rides away.
