You can actually park in the small lot at the bottom of the paved road to the top of North Mountain. The lot is located on the west side (going South) on 7th Ave. just after you pass the large Pointe at North Mtn. resort. Also, you can consider driving about a 1/2 mile further south on 7th Ave. and park in the larger North Mtn. Park parking lot. Take the trail at the north end of that parking lot and in about a 1/4 mile you'll cross the same paved road that leads you up to the top of North Mtn. Park summit.
