One of the better places in Arizona, I'd say, is Prescott. Located about 95 miles northwest of Phoenix and at an elevation of about 5300 feet you still get all 4 seasons of weather and still wil have close to 300 days of sunshine. Nice mountain type scenery and a small town feel although it's now over 50,000 in actual population. One of the fastet growing areas of our State and lots of recreational activities available like; hiking, mountain biking, running, fishing and camping. Good or higher paying jobs can or could be difficult to find depending upon your field?

I'm suffering from fybromyalgia too and I notice that when it was hotter when I visited I didn't suffer any pain. Still I do feel the joint pain in my elbows once in a while. At least it will be lesser humid here and that makes it so much better of what I experienced, being here before. The pain is a lot less, especially during the current wintertime
We live in Phoenix, but want to move to Tempe.

Check out... Black Canyon City.....its a wonderful place to live! Close enough to Phoenix but far enough away from all the traffic and congestion, plus you dont have to breathe the smog that blankets the Valley. The community is located on I-17, about 45 miles north of PHX and 99 miles south of Flagstaff.
If it is a slightly larger town that you seek, then I would suggest Wickenburg. Im sure you would like it there as well.
Good Luck!!

If you don't have to go in to work every day or can find work in the North part of town, I would recommend checking out Anthem area. Nice newer area with more of a small town feel. If you have to go into an office every day, the drive is a bit far.

I am a fan of Scottsdale, but it is pricey. Just keep moving North along Scottsdale road until you find something you can afford.

Ya, Casa Grand AZ is a nice growing town. It has great schools, if you have kids.

I think Chandler, AZ is perfect. Not far from the city, not overpriced. It has everything as far as restaurants/shopping/medical. Beautiful skies and friendly people.
