I am planning a fly-drive holiday with my mother later this year. We are going to fly to Chicago, and then drive along the Little House trail, heading to South Dakota. We want to have a couple of days in Chicago before setting out on the road - any ideas for things we really must see and do? We are 34 and 64, so we're not into clubbing or shopping. We like art, architecture, history, that sort of thing. Thanks.

Hi, this is very important, I hope you can help me! I'm a student at the University of Venice and I'd like to come to UK with Erasmus (maybe some of you don't know Erasmus programme.. anyway: I'd like to come to the UK for study).
I have to choose among 4 Universities, that is to say:
Nottingham-
Bristol -
Leeds or
Aberdeen.
Now: I'm talking especially to those people who live in one of these towns.
What I'd like to know from you is how expensive these towns are.
Maybe you've never been to Italy, so I must tell you that for us England is extremely expensive. I really don't know what is like to live in England, nor in Scotland. I really don't know a thing about your life! That's why I want to come there! I have studied your language for 10 years, so..it's time to know you closely, isn't it? :)
If you could give me information also about the Universities in each of these towns, I would be eternally grateful. Just need advice!

Anyone travelled to Cuba by themselves before?

Am going to Cuba in July on my own to Holguin and Santiago and I was wondering if you could give me some tips to a first time traveller to Cuba..I hear that you have to stay in a Hotel for the first few days of the trip, but i don't want to stay in a hotel, I want to stay in a casa particular (more cheaper) and mingle with the locals...anything i should look out for, things to and not to bring to Cuba..any hussle at the airports? What are the specific respsonsibilities an airline has for delayed baggage?

A friend of mine flew on December 17, the day the airlines got spooked and suddenly forced everyone to check their carry on baggage. My friend had everything important in his carry on: laptop, phone, etc. The airline did not locate his suitcase for over THREE MONTHS. Previously, he even tried going to the airline in an attempt to identify his bag. They refused to allow him to show them which bag was his.

The ultimate insult was the reimbursement they sent him for the great distress and hardship they caused him. After, in a very real sense, holding his bag hostage for three months, they sent him a check for about............ $4.

The airline said they had about 300 bags whose tags had been ripped off. I don't think any reasonable person could justify an airline taking three months to identify 300 bags.

What are a passenger's rights? What is an airline responsible for?
