You might find a job on corporate jets. More and more companies want these due to the security delays at airports and concerns over sharing a commercial flight with terrorists.

Your maturity and experience might be appreciated by executives and you're a spring-chicken compared with senior executives 55 to 65.

Follow your dreams. Apply and try your best. If it doesnt work out it doesnt work out, but at least you will have no regrets. Its better to have applied and failed than to be wondering at age 50 "what if...."
Bear in mind that most companies cant discriminate on age or looks, if you can do the job and you are the best candidate then they have to give you the job under law.

Absolutely! I work for an airline and we have many people who pick it up as a second (third or fourth) career. They absolutely love it! Most people I talk to say it's the best thing they've ever done! The benefits are great (free travel), so if it's something you're interested in, you have nothing to lose.

My friend, forget your age if you want to do it, go for it. I am over 60 and if it wasn't for my health problems I would apply in a heartbeat for a job at sea, GO FOR IT, you will regret it if you don't.

I have seen very old flight attendants that are still new at doing this, so they must have been hired old. It helps if you have had experience with customer service like waitering or something.

Oh yeah. I've talked to flight attendants that have started after they have retired.

I think, if you have a solid work history with references to back it up, you should go for it. Besides, what do u have to lose?

Good Luck!
