I'm 16 at the moment, but will have turned 17 when I go over in summer- if anyone's seen the show, could you tell me if there's an age restriction to the show? I don't know if I have to be 18 or not? Thanks.

my wife is going to Paris in Feb. She wants to take a prepaid debit card with her. This is so she doesn't over spend. Is this a good idea? What is a good one to take that will be recognized there?

The 3 days are: thurs, fri sat.
We are flying to charles le goulle airport.
Any suggestions about what area to get a hotel in. I was thinking about getting a hotel for around £30gbp per night to the north side of the city to cut down the commuting time from the airport.
We like going out drinking and lively pubs/clubs etc but we also want to keep it quite cheap if possible.
I've heard it can be very expensive to go out drinking and eating out. I've heard it can be around £8 gbp for a pint of beer? is this true? and if so, how can we avoid such high prices.
What's the weather usually like at this time of year?
Anything we should go and see?

My girlfriend and I are going to the Place to Tertre in Montmartre to have our portrait made by one of the street artists who set up their easels there. What is a reasonable amount to pay for a quick pencil sketch? Or a charcoal drawing? Or a full on painting?

I am going to Paris in January and would like some ideas for something different to see and do there. I have visited the city several times in the past and am familiar with all the usual sights: Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Galeries Lafayette, Defense, The Opera Garnier, Cemeteries Etc. What about some of the less well known attractions ...

I am making a trip to Paris in the New Year. Where can I go to hear French music of the 1940's 1950's - Piaf, Trenet, Josephine Baker etc? Are there any concerts in January recreating the period? Also I believe that there are some cafes that have evenings of such music, and the clients sing along. Thanks.

I am taking my sister to Paris in mid December for 5 days. We need two single rooms.

From the map, it appears that the Lourve or Notre Dame area is just about the most centralized.

I want a nice, comfortable hotel that has some charm. I would rather not stay in some Holiday Inn or Best Western chain. It kind of spoils the allure of France.

On the other hand, "charming" should not include tiny beds with worn out mattresses and lumpy pillows.

The ideal hotel would be under $170 a night, have a decent restaurant, and large beds. Neither one of us likes those ridiculously narrow European style twin beds, even if two are pushed together.

I've been to Paris once, and if I recall correctly, I stayed in the St. Germain area, perhaps a five minute walk to Notre Dame. It was a good area.

Lastly, besides the major tourist attractions, can you recommend any good sites to see? We would also like to see a show, perhaps at the Moulin Rouge.

In December, I'm going to Paris. I've been there once for a short trip, but can't even remember the name of the St Germain area hotel I stayed at.

I don't want to stay at some out of the way place just to save a little money, but I don't want to spend 200 euro a night either.

I found a hotel called the Danube. Looks fairly good.

Do you have any hotel suggestions? Please answer only if you have first hand knowledge. I know a lot of websites I can search on, but I'd like to get real, personal opinions.

The most important factors about the hotel are location (St. Germain is good because it's very centralized, and you can walk to the Lourve), a comfortable and large bed, and a room without noise from the street.

Also, any suggestions about sites to see? Besides the typical (The Lourve, Eiffel Tower, Orsay Museum, Palace at Versailles, Notre Dame, the catacombs, the Le Pere Cemetary), are there any sites you'd recommend? Anything really special to buy?

1) The Louvre and other museums are closed on Tuesdays. Is Tuesday a special day in France?

2) Does anyone know of any hotels that are close to the Eiffel tower with a good view from the rooms?. Preferably not much more than $600 US Dollars a night.

We are going to London, and are planning on going to Paris for one night. Just trying to plan in advance.
Thanks!
